I just resd the article in the Brandon Sun where Trustees Jolly and Murray have expresssed concern about the implementation of the Harrison School fiasco ... BOTH of them express concern about the effects of the bussing that the kids are going to have to experience and are wondering how these things passed by the attention of the board ...  
 
My ONLY response is - SERIOUSLY ???  
 
This perhaps lays bare the harsh reality that the Trustees are in WAY over their heads here ... they've invoked a decision without public consultation BEFORE it happened AND without considering the full implication of the decision.  
 
Reading a trustee saying that they assumed phys ed would happen in situ says they didn't look at the gyms in question - Fitton has a tiny tiny gym that barely meets the needs of the LITTLE students there now, much less pre-teens and teens that are coming back.  
 
This article lays bare the fact the emperor has no clothes and needs to be de-throned - NOW !!!!  
 
Obviously, there are Trustees who are NOT paying attention when they are making decisions about the direction of education in our community and that is simply UNACCEPTABLE. There is no spin you can put on this now - the Board is out of touch with the situation on the ground and I fear with reality too !!! I had respect for Mr. Murray for his concerns early in the process when the creation of this school was first proposed, but somewhere along the line he clearly stopped paying attention ...
