Council has decided not to go ahead with the bylaw that people will have to move their bins after garbage collection. They will be able to leave them in their back lanes.  
 
Personally, since this new garbage system has come into effect, I like it, as I know there is always room, no one has thrown a couch, chair or bldg materials and taken up the whole bin. But I do take mine in after garbage day.  
 
I understand it may be hard on people to take their bins in, but if they can't maybe every couple of days they could go out and check for litter around their bins, or make sure they have not been knocked over. I have seen more trash laying around back lanes and bins turned over since this new system has been implemented, so I guess we all have to do our part to "pick up".
