I witnessed something so frustrating this evening.  
 
At 9:20PM tonight, I was driving west on Victoria. Between 11th and 12th traffic was stopped, horns were honking, and some jacka$$ was yelling profanities from his truck. In the middle of the street, standing in front of the stopped traffic was a 40ish year old man with Down's Syndrome. He was obviously confused and was crying. No one got out of their car to help him. They just kept honking and yelling. I pulled over and he got off the road. I thought I was going to walk him to wherever he lived but he got in the passenger seat of my car and did up his seat belt! He didn't want to tell me his name and told me he lived somewhere where I knew he didn't. He asked me to take him to jail. I called BPS and brought him to the police station. A very nice officer took him home.  
 
What is with people that they cannot help someone in need? Geez. He was crying and in the middle of Victoria Avenue for goodness sake. Poor guy. It makes me really concerned for my daughter who also has Down's Syndrome.
