Ok who's with me on this one? Why is it we parents are responsible for the safety and transportation for our children grades 7-8 in Brandon School Division for shop and home ec?
My daughters are 11 and 12, one of each grade. I am appauled that the school just lets them free and expects kids to get there and back on their own. This is a MANDITORY class and they are not bused by school buses. Both times kids have been left behind at bus stops because the bus had too many people on it. This makes me sick! I do not feel safe having my 11 year old ride the city bus unsupervised and having to transfer downtown!
Kids take music which is an OPTION and the use SCHOOL buses to get to and from!
I had to get to shop/home ec on my own in Brandon 20 years ago!! And this problem still exists! Most parents work! How come the school suddenly becomes unresponsible for the safety of these chilren? This has made me and other parents very upset not knowing where our kids are when the bus pulls away without them on it!!
