I was reading an article in a British magazine about women who were professional call girls. I want to be clear that I'm not talking about prostitution on the street which is often related to poverty, drug addiction, and violence. These women professed to enjoy their jobs. They had regular clients and had a choice as to who they would take on as a client. They also made decent money. One was paying her way through college.  
 
I don't think this is a lifestyle choice that I would make, but it made me think about prostitution as a form of therapy for the men. These were rich men, some married...but it sounded as if there were emotional benefits as well as physical.  
 
I just thought this was an interesting topic of discussion. I was looking at this from more of an academic than moral point of view.
