Last week I went to a gas station and had an experience I've never had before. I told the man that I would like $25 and he said ok. So I went inside and told the older mam at the counter that it would be $25. The pump stopped and he said "$34.99". I said "sorry no, I told him $25, and that's what I'm going to pay you". The guy who pumped the gas then came in and said he made a "mistake". I said "ok, no problem, but I told you $25 and you said ok. I'm paying $25." So I handed my card to the man behind the counter and he said "$34.99". At this point I'm losing patience with this man and said that I was only going to pay what I asked for. The guy who pumped my gas told him to give it to me for that price.
This has never happened to me before and normally I wouldn't post something like this, BUT the same thing happened to my friend today! She said $30 and they filled it!
if you were in the same position would you pay? Seems like a good scam for the gas station, if and only if, people pay for the extra gas.
