Good-bye downtown...long first post:]

Hi there, My wife and I operate MaddArtist Tattoo on 6th street,They just sold our building to the Friendship center to use as a drop in centre.Now do we really need that downtown? Anyways we were lookin to stay downtown,so was Mr.Cookson {Cooksons place}but have you seen what the landlords want for a small space?$850-1000 a month....crazy.
The answer to save Downtown is to lower the rent , get "hip" stores and that will attract young people, who are not so afraid of the "unfriendlies" and the scum bars....Can you imagine if the mall lowered its prices and got a skateboard store,video games,a cool hip clothing place,along with the record store and even a tattoo shop and body jewelry,might be a happinin place.
Have a look at the east side of 10th street....Its mostly condemmed....and the other side wants $5000 a month,If you dont have big money your outta luck....
We'll try to stay downtown,cause we believe it can be saved, But if not Good-bye Downtown...
