I was required to get a car for my job that I am no longer at. now I am stuck with the payments. is there any solutions to get me out of it with out loosing to much money? not sure what to do..

When you bring in your vehicle, one of our appraisers will walk around your vehicle to inspect for body damage, check the condition of tires and windshield, snap a few photos and take it for a short test drive to estimate mechanical reconditioning.

We then download a Compete Car Proof History Report for your vehicle, which is yours to keep for free even if you decide not to sell us your vehicle.  
 
Once we've checked the markets and estimated the specific reconditioning costs we place a value on your vehicle and then present you with a formal written offer which is valid for 7 days. If you like our offer, we can write you a cheque right away or you can take your appraisal home to think about it.

If it's a lease see if someone can take over the lease that would be great. If it's a sale you will have to sell it and hope you get enough to pay off the loan. Vehicles are very tricky as they almost always depreciate in value. They are not like a house as if you take care of your home and live in it for a bit you usually always make money. You may have to accept the fact that you will still owe money on it. The bank may not agree to a sell unless you have another asset to act as the collateral of what is remaining on the loan so they will release the vehicle from the lien. Meaning say you have 10 000 left of payment. You sell the car for 6 000. You will need to still pay the 4 grand that is outstanding. Either you have 4 grand in your bank account and pay it out or you have 4 grand worth in collateral that the bank will accept until the balance is paid. OR you work two jobs or more to be able to maintain the payments and keep the car. Again, cars are very tricky as you almost always owe more than their value to re-sell.

Do you plan to bus/walk bike for the rest of your life?  
 
A) keep it  
B) prepare to lose coin unless you got a heck of a deal.  
C) Do the Marshall Kia deal. Remember though they are not charities. They do need to make a buck.  
 
D) do not rush your decision. Ask friends and family for advice.

Most employment opportunities would require a car to get to the job at the least, so if you are no longer there, empower yourself and try for another job.  
 
At least you'll have a car.  
 
 
 

If it is a new car and you purchased it through financing, it will be under a contract called conditional sales agreement. It means that the financier still owns the car until the car is paid. You can give the car back to them and be car free without any obligations.
