I'm not a fan of hot weather but I'm really enjoying this summer, either working in the yard or relaxing on the deck in the evenings without being eaten alive.

We live in a small town east of Brandon and there are some mosquitoes, but not near as many as last year, so yes, this summer has been much more enjoyable being outside! August already? Good grief, summer is flying by!!

lack of mosquitoes I think has a lot to do with the abundance of dragonflies this year.

Was pondering the same thing yesterday.  
Added a pic of the rarest of rare sites for this time of the year... A fully stocked "Off" display that was even on sale. Don't want to jinx it but except for a few smoke days there have been so few weather events that would get in the way of enjoying it.  
 
Here's to another month just like it, though can never take it for granted after the bug onslaught we had in Sept last year!

I can count on one hand the mosquito bites I've had this year! It's been so enjoyable to be outside without the pests! I remember last year there was a week my son and I stayed in because the little black flys and Mosquitos were soooo bad! But I do agree I see SO many dragon flies this year. My son and I go to the park and they're all flying above our heads! Lol
