Does anybody know how often places like playtime, or McDonalds play place or burger king play structures are cleaned thoroughly.  
 
Just was having a discussion with another friend with little kids that is pretty squeamish about going to these places and got me curious. Are there some kind of regulations in these places?

McDonalds has a time posted on the door leading into the play area from the outside entrance that has a time when the structure is being cleaned

There are pretty strict regulations. I personally have seen them clean the mcdonalds and play time structures quite thoroughly.

How often Playtime is cleaned? It generally seems quite dirty....floors sticky, food on floors, and the bathrooms need attention. All carrying over to the structure itself which if as an adult you have actually gone up you will see dust bunnies, bandaids, hair clips, etc. In the structure. This past xmas we were at playtime for two birthday parties and an xmas party and the same sticky juice spill remained. Our kids used to always get sick after going there. Of course it is somewhere they also love to go.

I can appreciate how hard these places would be to be kept clean at all times. However, out of mcdonalds, Burger King and play time, I've only seen mcdonalds cleaning there's. I personally found BK's disgusting and wouldn't go back. Playtime isn't bad but could be better.  
 
Also, I have to say, it would be nice if parents/caregivers paid more attention to what their kids are doing. I never allow mine to take food/drink on or into the structures. That just seems like common courtesy to me. I even ask that they keep their hands off the glass at the bakery! Lol. Unless we're cleaning it, I don't feel like we should purposefully make it dirty. It really bugs me when I see kids on these kind of structures with food/drink. I also think it's a safety issue
