Find places where people have time to look at your work, such as restaurants, accounting offices, furniture stores, and dentist waiting rooms. See if you qualify for displaying at the Art Gallery.
You might consider doing some craft shows, but work towards getting public exposure (build your brand) and don't expect significant sales from this. This way you get to interact with people to get some idea of how your work is being received and what styles of work will be required to meet the market needs. Image sizes, mounting methods, and framing will be dependant on your target market(s).
Large prints (24x30, 40x50, etc) are more impressive and can be lucrative, but make sure the print resolution is suitable. Unless you are an experienced printer, dealing with a pro lab can be educational and beneficial for you.
