I have never seen northen lights, and I would like to see it. Can you see it right in the city or you have to be out of city?  
I did go out on the deck but did not realize it.

just took a look and it's a straight line. Sometimes it's really dancing around, maybe later. Change of weather??

Has any body seen it from south of Brandon? How long does it last ?

Wow you aren't kidding. Hard to believe a guy can live for 30+ years and not see full on Northern lights..... Cloud cover right now is making you work for it but got a good look to the Northwest

We live in the south by Patricia and I was able to see before the clouds moved in. I was able to look straight up off my deck and watch them dance in a brilliant cone shape. I swear I saw some different color in the lights.....seemed so see some red in them.

In the east end and took a drive out but couldn't see anything so sad!!!

I'm surprised how many times I've seen the northern lights in the past month or so. I don't remember noticing them at this time of the year. I always see them on cold nights in the winter when I'm checking animals.

We were up at the lake on the weekend, and you could see them over the lake, really beautiful, great view!!

The northern lights last night were to show our new granddaughter the way here, and it seemed to work.  
 
In all seriousness I am also wondering we are not seeing more occurances of the northern lights, and although I have seen some great displays over the years it does seem easier to catch a good display now days. Living well away from the city and even town does make the skies much darker and the lights much more visible,

That was supposed to be we are seeing more occurances, guess not enough sleep

Though there were some clouds we were able to see the northern lights last night directly overhead and more to the east and that was sort of mid-evening, maybe around 10. Beautiful watching them move among the clouds. Checked again around midnight and not a cloud, just a sky full of stars but no northern lights at that time that I could see.

The northern lights are still visible and are still dancing, nice morning for a walk with northern lights, only a sliver of a moon, a really bright planet or star to the east and some really fresh cool air.

Don, that was fun to read. I especially like the one about the babies who passed. What a beautiful thought and tribute to those lives.

So disappointed that I did not see it. I was sleeping and sky was that beautiful. When will be next time? Is there any prediction on when it will be happening again? I really have to see it ( sometimes before I die, but the sooner, the better, I do not want to wait that long, lol) . I wish somebody could call me and wake me up!

Another great display of lights this morning, not a very wide band but extending right from the centre of the sky overhead down halfway to the horizon with lots of waves and lots of dancing.
