At what age in Manitoba can your child be left alone at home ? I am curious because I see an article about a 9 year old in BC ( http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/home-alone-nine-year-old-needs-after-school-care-1.3328471 )

At what age can a chile be left alone here in Manitoba? And what age can a child be left alone with a younger sibling ?

In Manitoba a child must be 12 years old to be left home alone.

Pretty sure it is 12 years old. Once you turn 12 you age out of daycare.

No one law across Canada stipulates how old a child must be to stay home alone, but the Canada Safety Council (CSC) recommends age 10 as a minimum, and that children younger than 12 shouldn’t be left in charge of their younger siblings. Manitoba and New Brunswick regulations state that children can’t legally be left alone until age 12.
