Two citizens have publicly discussed running for the Councillor position in Riverview Ward when Hamilton steps down. Any thoughts from Brandonites on Blight or Tame seeking the Councillor position?

Didn't he choose to retire from council just last year? Wonder why he wants to come back?  
 
During that nasty proposed near 20% tax hike Murray suggested at a council meeting that if seniors were having a hard time paying their tax bill then perhaps they should get a part time job like he did (in defense of the tax increase) Seriously? I don't think I could vote for him if he ran, anywhere, after that comment. Just my thoughts.

But I hear exactly what you're saying about the last council's mistakes. The craziness of some of the last council's tax hikes is just not welcome -- and we're still living with a lot of the results.  
This is not to diminish Murray in any way, but I think Tyson seems like he would do a good job.  
I wonder if there are other candidates mulling a run?

I will not vote for either blight or tame, both do not live in the ward and blight just retired from council and tame did not run a good campaign last time around, tame is trying to get elected to serve his own agenda. I would like to see someone from my ward run and has an idea of what riverview residents need. To be honest, I do not think you should run if you do not live in the ward, but the city election rules say other wise.I am hoping for a resident of riverview to come forward.

What do you think Tame's agenda is? I talked to him a few times when he was running, very sincere humble young man IMO.  
 
As for living in the ward? Years ago when I had an issue with city services it was that great east ender Errol Black that helped me, not my own ward councillor.  
 
For me, the councillor needs to be accessible and if my own won't help I have no problem contacting another.

totally agree with this, errol was a good guy , always approachable and not always hung up on the party line, i hear good things about tame and the sooner hamiliton is gone the better. i wish i lived there and i would vote tame
