I didn't want to take take away from the other thread about the city of Brandon oval. Which community centre is best for a little one learning how to skate? I understand they are all very busy centres with hockey and games of shinny. I wanted more of a public skate atmosphere and room as I have a skate trainer. Plex has not so great times for public skates as hockey obviously takes first priority. I understand in April there is much more available in way of public skating. Thanks in advance. Do you pay a donation to the centre for use of the ice?

Has one rink for simply skating and one for ice hockey. No puck or sticks allowed on the skating rink at all. Works well for all

East End has 2 big ice surfaces one for hockey and one for just skating and kids learning to skate ice is great shape and everyone seems to be having a great time there

The East End has the big hockey area, a skating area with no sticks or pucks and a small hockey area for kids who want to play but can't or don't want to keep up with the big game. Tonight they had over 140 skaters, it's a fun and busy atmosphere. They also lend skates and have a canteen.
