So on my way to crocus at approx 230, there were 3 people making there way thru the snow. They were heading from the road beside the new flooring store location on the east side of first street going on an south easterly jaunt. Within 5 minutes there was a police car that came down first with lights going that cranked into that little road along with 2 other police cars and a couple of unmarked cars. They ran out into the field the three were seen in and hauled them all out to the side road. Anyone know what was up with that?? Other than the obvious someone was being chased and arrested that is.

-On Tuesday afternoon, police received a complaint of a young male running through yards in the 700 block of 9th St carrying a crow bar and stating to an area resident that someone was chasing him. A second call was received from staff of a group home near Portage la Prairie that the male is a resident of their home who has a warrant for his arrest. He had run away from staff as they were transporting him to the police service for execution of the warrant. Police units cordoned off the area where he was last seen and the male was located near 1st St and Aberdeen. A 17 year old young offender was lodged at Brandon Correctional and will appear in court on Wednesday Jan 27th.
