Buying online from USA - won't ship to Canada

So I have a dilemma!
I found the absolute perfect product I need online (made and from the USA), and they don't ship to Canada. I've looked at similar products in Canada, but none measure up to this product. They don't have any retail locations anywhere close to the border either.
Do I just have to forget about it and move on or can I ship it to somewhere close to the border and pick it up? Does anyone have any experiences with this?
