Does anyone else but me miss Stan's? Every time I think about something I need I cringe at the thought of having to go to Superstore. Stan come back!

I miss Stan's too. Unfortunately he deserved retirement and nobody would step up to buy the business.  
 
I'd rather go to Co-op on Richmond than Superstore. It's calmer and the parking is nice.  
 
Yup, I miss Stan's too. I think about that place a lot and how handy it was. Well done, Stan. You are missed!

Bought our meat from Stan's. Liked getting Kuipers baking from there. Liked that I always knew they were open. Miss Stan and miss the people who worked there. East end isn't the same without Stans.

I miss Stans too! I could always count on getting a package of some kind of meat there for supper if I hadn't raided my freezer beforehand.  
 
I'm sure Stan is enjoying his well deserved retirement though!

I didn't shop there too much but when I needed a forgotten item or when I was lazy and didn't want to shop at a large store, Stans was my go to. I miss it too! One of the first few holidays after it closed made me realize how much I missed it because I forgot an item lol

My friend and I were just talking about how we miss stan's. It would be nice if shoppers expanded their grocery section since it's the closest thing in the east end.

They always packaged smaller affordable portions, so could take it home and cook it up fresh and not have to freeze the rest.

Only went for Jeanne's Cakes, or if I really needed the odd bit of groceries Sunday night when nothing else was open outside of Shoppers.  
 
Wasn't a fan of the cramped quarters, and if it was busy it would take forever to get checked out. Found prices to be quite a bit higher on a lot of items outside of catching a special, and to buy groceries on the regular there would have been painful.  
 
Pretty spoiled on Superstore/Walmart prices though I guess.
