Safeway gas bar is now going to be a Shell gas station they were re-doing it today

I gassed up and was told the gas bar is now doing air miles instead of grocery discounts. But I heard a rumor that they are no longer giving gas coupons when shopping. True?

If it's anything like Sobeys they'll have promotions at different times of the year where they give coupons for Shell depending on how much you spend... But not all the time

I got groceries yesterday and no discount coupon. Was told the same, doing air miles instead. And yet the shell station at the top of 18th were advertising at the pumps on Saturday about savings for shopping at Safeways and Sobeys.

We were shopping at Safeway and paying a bit more in order to get the gas discount. I guess we'll have to do a rethink and shop somewhere else. Where's the best gas promo these days?
