Social Media and Apps

Curious to see how many parents monitor and or screen their childrens use on social media and or apps (Snap Chat)(instagram) (imessage)?
I have monitored my sons snap chat account and have found the stories that some have posted to be very offensive and not how a young child/ teenager should be acting. Do parents not care on how their children are acting and how it reflects on the parents themselves in the up bringing of their children.
For those that don't use snap chat you can send messages to a user and have them disappear after a amount of time. If you suspect abuse and or bullying you can contact snapchat and pay a fee to retrieve.
Instagram holders wouldn't be a bad idea to be a follower on you child's account and or monitor now and again.
Social Media never post anything in poor taste as it not only reflects you personally but being social media may affect your loved ones unintentionally.
no parent likes to hear their child is behaving poorly but I feel that with monitoring usage etc. will give parents the opportunity to correct and guide these young users to becoming mature adults with a sense of accountability and respect.
Technology is changing everyday and also behaviours are showing more and more. As some parents don't like to admit their children have done something wrong, we also need to be thankful that is something was bought to your attention that it is only the person reaching out to make you aware of the situation and want to work together to come to an agreement. Also to prevent further incidents and take responsibility for own actions. Not every child is perfect and everyone makes mistakes... but how many learn from them?
