My wife and I run a not-for-profit halloween haunt called Grim Acres Scare Away Cancer. 100% of proceeds from the event goes to the Canadian Cancer Society. In 2015, we made the move to an acreage location outside of Kemnay, MB. The land itself was in a state of neglect for several years, and as such some of the land we plan on using for the haunt in the near future is eroded and has some areas that need to be filled for public use, and also have an old empty foundation that we plan on converting to a cemetary scene and also needs to be filled in. Any suggestions on any excavation or construction companies that we can approach who may have dirt that they can get rid of and deliver? We have already paid $8000 of our own money (we pay for everything for the project ourselves) for a concessions and staff costume shed, so can't really afford to pay anything. We are looking for dirt donations only. I had already emailed a few sites on the CARM site earlier this year, but havent heard anything back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I wonder if you contact some of the bigger names that are building homes? They might spare some of the dirt that they don't need when building a basement... (I'm not sure if this dirt is actually not needed... But it's worth a shot!).
