The town of Carberry has a whole bunch of donations being collected for Fort Mac residents until this Sunday. We are needing a way to get these donations to the residents of Fort Mac. If anyone has any leads, please contact me. We have emailed the red cross, they have not gotten back to us yet. We have lots of boxes, probably about 2 truck beds full so far.

they are collecting donations at the old Zellers location in brandon if you could get it there.  
 
a reminder that they do not need "stuff". no clothes. no opened bottles of shampoo. no teddies. they need money and after that essential toiletries, diapers, formula.  
 
I'm sure local charities would appreciate any "stuff" that's been donated though!

Hello, we would be interested in helping, and have been trying to figure out how.  
 
We have a 14 foot cargo trailer that we could bring to Carberry to load up, and then drive it to Alberta.  
 
Maybe we can talk more about this to make sure it would work, and that we know where they would actually accept these donations?

I will volunteer my time and my truck to drive stuff out there all I'd ask for is some help with fad funds. I'm not working right now so I have the time and I would like to be able to help. Send me a pm if u need me

I have a large cargo trailer and could also haul things there. Question I have is if the city has been evacuated what is happening with the donations?  
Please help inform.... Willing to help out if things are needed to be hauled up. I would supply truck, trailer, man power.

We found a driver and a trailer!!

The donations are being distributed to Edmonton and surrounding towns where evacuees are being housed. I know there is a lady in Brandon who is doing another drop off in Edmonton at the end of this week or early next week. I'll pm you her name and you can send her a msg on fb if you have it

I just went to the Facebook site in which a link was posted, and read the story about the pharmacist. This gentleman stayed behind to fill life requiring pres:criptions out of the goodness of his heart. The story had me in tears, what a gem

I am trying to coordinate local sewers/quilters to make some quilts for Ft. Mac evacuees. If you are interested in sewing or have fabric to donate, please contact me, either pm me or post on this page.

I can supply clothing, blankets, shoes etc.

Hello, we picked up the generous donations from Carberry with our cargo trailer. We still have lots of room, so we are going to continue accepting more donations to make sure we have a full trailer!  
 
You're welcome to drop off your donations over the next couple days at least at Brandon Computers (1229 Richmond Ave).  
 
The most appreciated donations are: new shoes, towels, socks, underwear, diapers, baby wipes, and toiletries. We are accepting cash donations for them as well!

thanks so much for your generosity everyone. I have family in Fort McMurray. three generations were evacuated from their rented home and they have been flown out to their camper at a lake.  
 
no word yet on their home, but they are thankful to be together. they were separated into three different vehicles as they escaped because the grandchildren were at school. one had to leave with a different family so that was very stressful for them.
