    How many people still stand at attention quiet while the national anthem plays? Do schools in Brandon still play the national anthem first thing in the morning ?

    What prompted this question?  
     
    I personally stand at attention and sing, are you seeing people showing disrespect while the anthem is played? I rarely if ever have but I haven't been everywhere.  
     
    I am very proud of my country and like to show it, but sadly (a little sarcasm) it is a free country so I cannot force others to stand and sing with me, they have to want to.

    I was watching an Aussie rant about other people coming to Australia and change it. And I have seen at hockey games and suck people talking/drinking/on phones. It makes me sad as a proud Canadian who stops and stands no matter where it's played. I just worry that people are loosing their pride in their wonderful country.

    Removing of the hat

    When I was at the winter fair, I was very proud to see the young gentleman(teenage?) remove this hat during the playing of the national anthem, but was saddened the older man he was with did not. In this case a lesson could be learned from the younger generation.

    Doesn't have to be military, but stand , hands at your side, with no hats. No talking, no cell phones.
