if the city keeps mowing the boulevard by my house which increases my taxes then stop and take percentage of tax off it costs to mow i as I already mow the boulevard in front of my house because I don't like paying extra tax that's not necessary put my tax to something else like road repair instead of boulevard in front of my house.

IMHO i think the city should mow the boulevards, clear the snow ect, its their property and they can support the larger equipment to do the jobs efficiently  
 
some may have other opinions and to each their own but i figure i look after my stuff, they can look after theirs

If we waited for the city to come mow our Blvd's there would be a lot of tall grass around. I usually see them doing the blvd's on the main drags and not so often around the residential areas. Not to mention another reason to raise taxes even more.  
 
I personally like knowing that it's mine to look after. I make sure it's weedless, watered and cut the same as my lawn. Even though it's city property it's still affects the look of my home from the street!

to have the City mow your boulevard. The City does not mow my boulevard, so that's my tax dollar at work as well.

Here's a sad piece of reality. If you are cutting the grass on the Blvd and your mower fires a rock into someone's car window, it's your home insurance that would pay the liability.  
Having said that, as a property owner without a blvd, I'd gladly cut the grass on the blvd to keep the front of my property looking neat.

used to live in the country and the owner does all whole yard work without municipality to some for you including the ditch by your house so my thought is city owners are spoiled and want the city to do all. I think it would a nice citizen way to cut the grass on the boulevard in front of your house and remove snow in front of your house to cut down taxes amount. The city worker doesn't charge $1.00 to cut your grass and remove snow.  
In winter time when it snowed I do get up earlier meaning 4am to take time to remove snow so when I come back I have no snow or less snow to remove later.  
It is not city's fault to create snow falling in winter or not their fault to cause rain to fall and make the grass grow. It is life cycle that is all, no one fault  
I know some will hit on the head and I don't care.
