Where are the used book stores in Brandon? What about surrounding areas/towns? Thanks

Located in Onanole (Clear Lake), great used books and tonnes of them, vinyl and cafe. Great place!

Value Village has a fair amount of used books. I get lots there.  
 
There is also a place on 10th St but I don't remember the name. It is South of Superstore but North of the tracks. It is on the East side of the street.

I have good luck at Newly New - remember it's cash only

The Frontier Trading Post in Minnadosa has lots and they are usually .10cents a book. Supports a good cause as well.

George Strange's is the place on 10th Street. 600 block I think

Don't forget to check here on Ebrandon under classifieds. There are always lots for sale.

Know the name but it's on tenth street a block over from the 7-11 it's a huge store with all kinds of books.

Abby Rose has a great selection of used books. Mostly books geared towards women.  
Also, in clear lake there is a used bookstore in the basement of a shop. Can't remember the name but I think the clothing store above it is called The Gorge.

The Eye Opener Book Store @ 314 10th St.  
Paperbacks galore and the best place in town for comic book collectors. Also stock/order in gaming products.

Value Village prices for books are outrageous... Paperbacks. Starting at $5 a book...oh but remember if you buy 4 you get the 5th free!  
 
 
Ive found quite a few at Nearly New as well as Abby Rose... You could see if any rural or local libraries are having any book sales in the near future.. I found they do once a summer usually.

no problem spending money at Value Village on books because the money goes to the Diabetes association.  
 
But the library is free. I personally rarely think to go there. I went a couple of days ago and it was great! I picked up all kinda of books that I may get to and may not get to for free.  
 
Do you guys use the library? I mainly just use it to sign out ebooks but wandering through it was awesome. They have audio books and movies too!

I've had good luck finding used books at a good price at the Nearly New shop, as well as the MCC Thrift Store on Pacific Avenue, both of which are true not for profit stores and the money you spend there is truly helping charities and people in our community.  
 
The Rotary Club also has book sales a few times a year, that are always advertised around town. It is a very well organized sale, with every type of book you can imagine there.  
 
Please know that the money spent at Value Village does not go to Canadian Diabetes, it goes to pay the employees and pad the owners pocketbook, as Value Village is a for profit business. When items are donated, you are donating them to Canadian Diabetes, who in turn sells them to Value Village by the truck load. Once VV has bought the items, absolutely none of the money you spend in VV is given to charity.

I always donate the books that I no longer want to keep to them. Any little way I can help out The Diabetes Assn. is good enough for me.  
 
The library has used book sales too. I scored big time at the last one.

$ spent at value village doesn't go to the diabetes association. If you donate items - a small amount of money is donated. I don't have the details on how much, but I believe it's a set amount per load/weight/pallet, regardless of the contents...not positive though. Then the items are priced/sold and the profit is all value village's.
