Power going on & Off and now staying off in green acres area anyone else? Anyone know why?

Yes. Mine keeps flashing off and on. Ambulances and such just went down park to the east.

Power is off at our house and we are in the west end.

Power is out on the 2300 block of Brandon Ave

Power is out at College & 18th also.

On 26th and park. Treat it as a 4 way stop.

Back on in Green Acres!!

Green acres...went out 3x for 1-2 seconds each time and just came back on after being off for 10 minutes  
 
I just want to finish OITNB before it shuts off again...lol

I am just hoping this is fixed before Game of Thrones starts. Lol  
 
It flashed off Again moments ago. I am sure they are doing all they can do to fix it.  
 
It makes me realize how dependant we are on our hydro.

Not sure if still the case but lights at 34th and Park were also out around 5ish... Not long after noticed a power flicker a few blocks away.

It's gone off 2 more times. I'm on the last episode so am hoping for the best lol. Yes, it's amazing what we take for advantage! Hopefully you can watch game of thrones lol  
 
Have heard quite a few sirens (which is sort of common for us though as we're on 1st street) but hoping everyone is okay and this is just due to the winds like Trevor said

OITNB sooo excited to watch the new season but that's one show I have to wait and watch when the kiddo is sleeping lol  
 
Back to the power going out. It went out for a longer block of time and ever since has been going out every 5-20 min. Tv gets going again and then bam flicks on and off a couple times again. We hear a Big Bang over in green acres every time it happens. Curious to know what it is.

Seen on Twitter Manitoba Hydro said that they are dealing with numerous power outages due to high winds. No mention of what area of the province though.

Power went off for the 15th time still out 10 min later ugh

Power has been shutting off and on , now it's off again.. can't get through to hydro at all. Getting a busy signal. Cool..

Ya it looks like the wind is to blame. I don't see anything specific on Twitter about Brandon but it's all over Winnipeg area as well. We may keep losing power but at least we aren't the hydro workers having to fix all this on a Sunday.

There was a tree branch across two of the power lines because of the wind. When the branch touched the two at the same time it caused the loud bang reaction you heard. Happened about 6 times this afternoon. The branch was torched.. Literally. Sparks flying and the smell of embers was happening.  
We called 911 as hydro phone line busy. They came and cleared the branch off the lines lickity split. Thank you mb hydro for all you do.
