Did the storm fry anyone else's cable boxes and TV?

The storm on Saturday June 18 zapped our Westman cable boxes and our tv. Our power didn't go out according to the clocks in our house. We are just looking to see if anyone else had the same issues.

to my moms neighbor early this morning in the area of 34th and Willowdale. TV was saved but older VCR was toast. The power did go out though.

Mine has been out since about 5:20...power not off...just the TV...Near cemetery.

The storm three or four weeks ago knocked my TV out, along with the power. Then, I came home from camping last weekend and the power had gone out again. But my TV is back to working order. Try leaving your plugged in during the coming storms, it might work for you too! And then, go and buy a batter backup surge protector for better storm protection. It's on my list of things to do.
