Anyone else or just me?

Thanks MPI. Now because my car was vandilized while I have the $300 deductible, I have to pay it. If only I said $200 deductible when registering my car, then vandalism would not be a problem and I would not have to pay squat.

If it's vandalized don't they cover the deductible?

Because I have the $300 deductible and the fact that it's JUST a random act of vandalism with no witnesses or security footage, I still have to pay. MPI are crooks too, they might as well have smashed my window. Screw it. I just have to pay. Wouldn't feel so bad if I hadn't just bought the car last week. FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A PARTS CAR OR MECHANICS SPECIAL. I am Cleaning out my old 1998 sunfire standard, gonna try sell it to pay for the glass repair.

Usually door glass is fairly affordable. We bought one for a work truck(12 ram) under $200 I believe. That was right from dealer. The wrecker might have one avail for cheaper. They can be a little fun to put in but not bad

if you would a witness probably MPI wouln't pay for it because it is not the witness to pay if you can't catch that person so yes not quite fair. Someone has to pay MPI pick you and crooks get away as usual.

I have two points to make here:  
 
1. If you had the $200 deductible, you would be paying more per month for your insurance. It's a significant savings by having the $300 deductible.  
 
2. You still would have had to pay the $200 deductible if your car was vandalized. Like someone else said, it's hopefully only around $200 to repair.  
 
Add up the cost of having a $200 deductible vs $300 deductible (approx $105/yr) plus the deductible out of pocket and you're already over $300. Looks like you're better off just paying for the repair!  
 
Chin up, and if you are really strapped for cash then try making a wish (a thread was just opened about looking for ways to spend Wish Makers money) or selling some stuff on Ebrandon.

Helped me look on the bright side. Thanks for the info. I am saving more. And yeah, even with the $200 deductible, I would have had to pay it anyways. Just gonna clean up the glass on the street then MacGyver a plastic window to avoid any weather related damage.

Is it a 2 dr or a 4 dr? And which window was broken?

It wasn''t my sunfire window. All the glass on the sunfire is perfect. It was the car I just bought last week. My malibu. The front passenger side was broken.

Big Smo, my hat's off to you! What a wonderful reminder of how generous Brandon, and eBrandoners in particular are.

I have copied and pasted from the MPI website (some editing done for alignment) as to what is covered by MPI depending on the deductible level chosen.

when my car was vandalized a few years ago, they also tried to steal it, as you could see where they were jamming something into the ignition. Therefore, I did not pay any deductible at all. The police did come that night and take pictures of the ignition, so MPIC would know they tried to steal it.  
 
So what I get from that is if it is only vandalized you pay deductible. If it is vandalized with proof they tried to steal it, you don't pay deductible.  
 
Things could have changed since then.

Just curious, how is it MPI's fault that  
You chose the $300 deductible? They offer the option to have $200 but as someone said it does cost more per year, but the perk is vandalism is now waived (I think this recently changed in the last year or two)
