Has anyone noticed the super long wait for the light to turn green coming out on 18th st from the corral centre by safeway,I honestly thought I must have missed the green light although I had been staring at a red for 5 minutes....GET IT FIXED CITY OF BRANDON

I have seen it far too many times that someone is so far back from the line they don't trigger the light.

Usually takes another driver getting out of the car to tell the first driver to move up to fix the issue.

Or you could get out and hit the pedestrian button if there is one...

It is a long wait at that one...if you go around past subway and come out on Kirkcaldy past the clinic, that light is a way shorter wait.

Every now and then that light seems to malfunction. I've seen it take over five minutes to turn green, even when there's very light traffic on 18th. The lights coming out of the Shoppers Mall at Aberdeen also seem to have a similar problem. They won't change to green until there are vehicles at the lights across 18th. If there's no traffic coming west, sometimes they just won't change.

These lights have sensors, but you need to pull well ahead.

You need to have your front wheels way up in line with the sidewalk, especially in the winter months. You may look like a goof with your car stopped halfway (or completely) across the pedestrian crossing, but not as goofy to the people behind you, when sitting there waiting for the light to never change.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

doesn't trigger at all on my bike I stood there 4 minutes and decided to go through anyway because it wouldn't change even once I have passed until the next car came

maybe not intersections that use the sensor technology have a small sign that says "sensor" in line with so called sensor, ya gotta pull up to it. I believe the one at the corral and 18th has one.

all around the Corral Centre. Westbound traffic is often backed up from 18th to Cater, or Fraser. You can't get thru the first green at Conservation Drive without hitting the red light at 18th. Trying to get out of our neighbourhood onto Kirkcaldy is becoming a harder all time.

there is a sensor there. get rid of the damn sensor! Nobody has a clue and it drives me nuts.

The sensor triggers too far up. If you stop where you are supposed to it won''t detect your vehicle. You have to pull up through the pedestrian crossing, doesn't seem right but that's what you have to do to trigger that one.

the city really needs to step up the way traffic flows, the city is growing, and with summer here there will be even more traffic congestion.

it was the same at the light by the Credit Union just down from the Safeway light....I was in the long line, and the people ahead were as far out as they could be without being in the intersection so can't be the 'sensors'! took nearly 15 mins to finally get to move
