I have read the reports..and all the comments.  
MY POINT? As an officer of the LAW, no matter who you are, would you feel he was capable of giving a full report to a judge? Once labelled a liar, how in any judge's opinion, can they trust his testimony? If this was a murder investigation..this victim killed by her partner..could you honestly believe this officers report? All future reports of any kind would have to be called into question. That being said, if this person is not dealt with enough to protect other victims..how can anyone in our city trust that BCPD is here to PROTECT AND SERVE? Public perception and city liablity has to go hand in hand.

seriously, while the officers conduct maybe wasn't by the book, victim wasn't hurt, had no damage , seems like just didn't enjoy getting a lecture when she was supposed to be a victim. when do we say, as the public, that maybe we should take some blame for our own actions, before we call in the good guys to save us from our own bad behaviors, bad decisions, etc. maybe some need a lecture, that they should have learned from parents, way back, rather than ask a complete stranger to come rescue you from danger and put his or her life at risk,and god forbid, they better risk life and limb, with no backtalk. this aint NEW YORK, where our respect?

Where did you read not hurt and only a lecture ? The reports specially say the officer grabbed her phone, okay sure could be a weapon. But than pushing her is lecturing her ? Grabbing her, is not assault? Jennkenn999 what is the definition than of assault ?

In the July 7th Brandon Sun, an article appeared where it said the victim had yet to come forward and lodge a formal complaint with the LERA. Despite knowing the outcome of the IIU investigation, and encouraged to "pursue other avenues of complaint - which would include LERA", she has chosen for the time being to be silent. I'm surprised this has not been brought up in this discussion as it is relevant.

I'm sure I'm in the wrong, but if a police officer says freeze, you freeze, if he speaking, you listen. I don't think it was fabulous ,I'm sure everyone involved is embarrassed, but I imagine that domestic disputes one of the most tricky and dangerous positions to go into. I read that she was unhurt by the encounter, must have missed something.

believe the judgement gives here without the whole facts only was is said in the papers and small part of video. You weren't there in the part of the whole discussion.  
Try image or do their job see what the face with public. He didn't injured her. Keep mentioning the lie and who knows she may have lied about the reason why the cop showed up there. When you get pulled over or a cop shows up to a house some of those people lie to get out of their situation.  
There will be no end to this because some of you here probably hate cops no matter what they do ....damn if you do damn if you don't.  
When they pull over someone and let them go without ticket that could have then you are happy but it isn't your advantage then you stone them.  
They have a job to enforce the law which laws weren't created by them and a job to show up in a place after a phone call which they haven't created the problem in the first place so try deal with this.

I said it once and I will say it again before we all buy tickets to Kazakhstan where the police are honest and not violent at all. We don't know exactly what happened. Again, yes there was video and a news report, but what exactly happened is unknown to ebrandon readers. So here is an example of people that don't know, mouthing off to everyone that can hear them. This complainant has been called the victim many times here and people are so dumbfounded that police would rough up a victim. Is it possible that she wasn't the victim. Is it possible that she was the person causing the problems. Is it possible that she called police to report she was assaulted and then as it turns out, she was the person that beat up her X. This is all hypothetical because I don't know and neither does anyone here. We have not heard of the X being arrested and charged so it is possible, I don't know.  
M*F again, nice story but what you heard and what really did happen are sometimes two completely different stories. Was your friend a drug dealer but someone else took the charge?? Was she with someone that committed an armed robbery?? We don't know. Give BPS a chance to sort it out. The officer involved answers to a Sergeant, who answers to a Staff Sergeant, who answers to an Inspector, who answers to the Chief of Police, who answers to the Police Board. If something happened that needs discipline then give them a chance. They deal with facts and with what they heard or what the read on ebrando.
