Hi,  
Can anyone provide a recommendation for someone in town who could give me a good makeup tutorial?  
 
I'm looking for someone to recommend the right type of products and show me how to properly apply each product. (eg: what type of foundation would be best, liquid, powder, pressed powder, cream...Ahh!)  
 
I've had a tutorial at Sephora, but I feel like they don't so much recommend products, but instead just ask what you like...and I don't know what I like!  
 
I'd like to be shown a 'everyday' look and then how to dress it up for special events.  
 
If anyone could recommend someone, that would be so great! Thanks!

I do believe Shoppers Drug Mart has make up sessions - perhaps you could discuss your needs with the gal at the make up counter at the Shoppers DRUG Mart near you . . . I also think that there is a Makeup Consultant at Vigi Hair Salon - perhaps you could give them a call.

Go to the Shoppers on Victoria and ask for Beth. She is the cosmetics manager there, and is a total sweetheart. If she can't help you on company time, I know for a small donation to a foundation that helps cancer patients get mini makeovers (can't remember what it's called), she will help you on her own time to perfect the make up look that's just right for you.

But as far as making recommendations as to what products, is very hard. I've tried LOTS from different makeup companies who literally all claim to be the best. I have my favourites, but what I love may not be the same for you. Also my favourites change according to seasons. One thing I will mention is I don't so much go with drug store makeup any longer. I have a mixture of big brand name and MLM products. If you ever want to chat further I would be more than happy to chat, feel free to send me a message. I play a lot with makeup - I'm by no means a professional, but self taught from a couple favourites on Youtube, and just a process of finding my favourites.

I second Beth at Shoppers Drug Mart on Victoria Avenue! She is absolutely amazing and knows what she's doing!
