I have donated items to a number of places in Brandon.. but I am curious, where would you prefer to take your items?
Especially when you have a variety of items. Ie, household, clothing, tech things, etc.
The most important thing to me is if they are going back to the community in some way or another!

I would say by far TAKE THEM TO THE NEARLY NEW SHOP on 9th Street behind Super Store.. Nice clean store,, Friendly Staff,, & real great prices.

I agree, take it to Nearly New. The profits fun the local hospital, so you know that not only does it fund a worthy cause but it definitely stays in the community. Great place...just wish they had more donations for a bigger store

Check out their Facebook page for hours they accept donations and some examples of what the proceeds were used to purchase for the hospital!

There are a few things that they cannot accept:
Computers, typewriters, microwaves, encyclopedias, LP records, strollers, helmets, printers, pole lamps, televisions, text books, large furniture and car seats

Didn't think that stayed " in the community " ? ?
On the same note..I have 3 double size cereal boxes of crochet hats & scarves to give away. (I crochet & knit them to keep my hands from stiffening.)
Hubby drops them off at Samaritan House. Is there anywhere else he can drop them off? ? He doesn't have much time to spare most days so runs in ,drops off & runs?
