Cats/Animals being tortured and killed in Meadowbrook Village

I am imploring people who live in the Campbell's Trailer Court area to please be on the lookout for a sadistic Cat/Animal hater. I am putting this post on eBrandon not only as an Animal Lover: but, I would hope as a decent, compassionate human being. My nephew's Cat it seems was tortured by some sadistic low life. The other day, my nephew's Cat came home and could barely walk. When my nephew took his Cat to the Vet, the Vet believes the poor thing was swung around by his tail multiple times. And now when my nephew tries to pet and comfort him, his Cat's reaction is to bite him. The poor Cat is hurting and scared of this being done to him again. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident in the area. There are other Cats, and also maybe even Dogs that have been tortured and killed by some sick "you know what" in the Campbell's Trailer Court area. I am urging everyone to please be on the lookout for this sick individual and bring him to justice. Animal abuse and cruelty is a crime !

I live here and have thought something has been going on lately. I have heard of a few cats gone missing lately. A couple I use to see around all the time, haven't shown up in months. My cat went missing last week, which isn't like him. He's always in the yard, he was gone for about 15 hours. I walked all over the park with treats calling him, and nothing. When he finally did come home, he was acting so strange. He smelt like gas almost too. I had said to my hubby when we were looking for him, what if someone took him. That just makes me sick. I hope whoever is doing this is caught.

Holy smokes who are these people? These people need to be stopped Not by the police but all the caring animal lovers out there. Boy oh Boy!!

and walk around the trailer park in pairs?
If the community unites and does regular patrols this may be helpful.
You deserve to live in a community that is pet friendly!!!

To every story, there are always two sides. If you are letting your animals roam the neighbourhood then you are breaking the law and putting your furry friends in danger. If I had a pet, I would look after it and things like these nuts are doing could never happen.

While I can't stand sick individuals harming animals, pet owners are responsible for their pets.

When pets get out accidentally or you finally notice your pet isn't in the house/yard, go searching for your pet and keep searching until you find it. Don't assume your pet will be safe and that it will return home eventually.

There is also a bylaw that states cats must be leashed and not allowed roam free within city limits.

We wouldn't just let young children run off and stay gone without trying to find them and bring them back to safety.

Well taken that the poster said cats in the area and possibly dogs leads us to believe cat owners are letting their pets run wild. I know I am not fond of having cats running around in my area.

Maybe different rules in Campbells, private property vs city? If my cat got out here and somebody outright shot it dead, I would consider that my fault. Torturing a trespassing stray is sick and unforgivable of course but look at what people do to each other never mind pets. If your pet wanders and you get away with it, that's like speeding and not getting caught. Used to be 25$'s to recover one from the pound, guessing more now, not licensed, inoculated, etc, be paying those bills too. So your pet getting off property should cost you couple hundred bucks, that's reality. Somebody tortured it, totally not right, but pound would euthanize it. Btw 10 years ago all the cats up there were sick with distemper anyway.

Campbell's Trailer Court is definitely way out of City Limits. So as far as I know, no by-laws being broken there. Yes, people are responsible for their pets, but in no way should any pet be "punished" by being tortured or even killed. To the Poster "Cats in Campbells" here is the definition of irony. Have you ever been to the City Pound on Patricia ? While the owners who run the City Pound have other Cats and Dogs impounded, the owners own Cats are roaming around freely. And the City Pound is outside of City limits, which in itself is ironic, Lol.
