Just wondering if there'll be many trick-or-treaters out tonight with the poor weather. I've just had one girl I know come by so far because she really wanted me to see her costume.

in The Landing development off Sycamore, kids have been out for a while.

Meadows area, about 30 so far

We have had 45 so far

3 & the University Food Drive people out in Meadows....

We only had 2 kids for the longest time, but then a few gaggles of older kids in group of 5-7 came through not too long ago. I think we're up around 18 now. We typically only get 20-30 kids anyway.

The littles usually start around 5:30 or so, I make sure I'm more or less ready by 5 just in case!

We had our first kid at 5:20. We don't mind at all. It is only one night a year after all

it's not uncommon for them to start around 5-5:30.  
 
We've been living in an apartment were we don't get any trick or treater's for a number of years now. Didn't realise they start this early now.

We had about 70-80 kids

Trick or treating with our kids in our neighbourhood checked in with our neighbours some had between 50 and 80 kids.

And my house was pretty dressed up.

I was able to get off work early today and was picking my daughter up from daycare around 4:30 and there were already families out making the rounds. I feel bad though because most years I don't pull into my driveway until 5:20 so we're not ready start handing out candy until close to 6.

We started at about 5, and went a couple blocks over, we mostly went to houses with their doors open or that were decorated, as we understand it can be early for some! We only had one person who wasn't home! We had a lot of happy faces to see us, we typically don't get a lot of trick or treaters around here. We got 0. My son only lasted about 30-40 mins but after 8 hours in daycare he's pretty tired that's why I'm glad so many people don't mind the little ones starting a little early.

We had 75 kids the rain didn't seem to slow the little ones down last night.

I was surprised that we got the same numbers for a weekday Halloween from it being so cold and rainy all day. But, I guess nothing will stop them from getting their candy. Hopefully, that type of determination will transgresses into proper work ethics and fixated goals for their future. (Can only hope, LOL) Made for only a hundred, but I had to dig into "the secret stash" and quickly scramble to build an extra nine more baggies before the night was done (Had to dig into the "rejected" pile of the can't have/don't want from the kids loot). Usually, I have about 120 on standby for the school nights. I opted for 100, expecting far less for the Vincent Massey area because of the weather. ...I was wrong. Next time I'll will always plan for 120 or more, no mater what. Lesson learned.  
 
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
