garbage pickup

My day for garbage pickup was yesterday - does anyone know if they'll come around today and pick it up?

From what I understand, if your garbage collection day ever falls on a Stat Holiday, they will always do pick-up for that garbage day on Saturday of that week. I remember one year my garbage day fell on Christmas and it got picked up that week on Saturday. You can always double check this some where on the city of Brandon website too.

I've learned by experience (and some research) that garbage pickup doesn't cycle through to the next Saturday for just any stat holiday - just for some, one of which is Remembrance Day. And you are very right, the City of Brandon website rules when it comes to knowing when what gets picked up when.

The website did state that it would be picked up today. Their calendar is pretty easy to read. Usually it's picked up around 6-8am and when I checked later in the morning today, it hadn't been picked up yet. I just wanted to double check that they were coming today. They did! Thanks all.

Thats because theres no regular pickups on Mondays which is when most stats fall. Remeberance Day, Christmas and New Years are the only stats that can affect your garbage day.
