Hello,  
We live by Chater and are considering renting out one of our basement bedrooms to a BU or ACC student in the fall.  
A couple of questions...  
1. Do you think there would be any interest in living slightly out of Brandon? Or is this a silly idea? (Obviously the student would need to have their own car)  
2. What is the best way to get the word out about this?

Posted adds on Facebook and pinned posters up at the ACC School. I live about 20minutes West of Brandon. Most interest in renting a room came from the Paramedic/Fire, LPN and Electrical program students. Rent i:ncluded furnishings (queen size bed, desk, chair, closet, dresser and ensuite bathroom) i:ncluded Wifi, shared common areas (kitchen, laundry, living room), hydro and water. Price of rent increased with meals provided (3 meals and 2 snack/day) or student could purchase their own groceries. No smoking/No pets/No parties and I have never experienced any issues with rules/behaviour.  
 
It has been a great experience. I do believe there is plenty of interest for students looking for no distractions, quiet space wanting to live out of the City.
