Yes, I am "that guy"

There are two conditions that the medical profession spends likely very little time studying, those two conditions are stubbornness and stupidity, and these two conditions can cause quite a cost the the medical system. I know because I suffer from both at times.
The stupid part can be left up to ones imagination, but I'll give an example. I love to go barefoot, and a few years ago I stepped on a piece of wire, simple puncture wound, bled a little but my shots were up to date so no worries about lockjaw, five days went by and realized I had infection in the wound. This led to one trip to emergency and the first course of antibiotics, three days later second trip to emergency because the antibiotcs were not workin, so second course of antibiotics, three days went by and I was back in emergency with an inflamed blood vessel that you could follow to mid thigh. Now it meant a course of IV antibiotcs for five days. Doctors question was "why didn't you come in when this first happened". Guess I didn't want to plug the ER.
Now back to the dental problem, once again an example. Last year I had a run in with a metal gate that a cow kicked, resulted it front tooth broke off half way up and the two beside it broke off at the gum. The pain from this was what I considered tolerable, so no need to seek any help from anyone, problem was the broken tooth allowed for infection in the nerve canal, and ended up an abscess, result was more antibiotics before any work could be done.
I would think that anyone in the medical field would understand that the human mouth is sort of a place where bacteria flourish, and some of them pretty nasty ones at that, and not knowing what is exactly meant by " I cracked a tooth", would realize that that statement has many variables.
Yes, I am "that guy", and my name is there for a reason, if people wish to check on things I say they are able to. I gave examples that show by not seeking immediate medical attention, ended up creating more of a problem and cost.
