The flight to Calgary leaves at 1:15, most people will be there an hour early. It would be nice to have a coffee, sandwich, salad.  
 
I know that my cousin is flying back to BC tomorrow, so I will go up to spend time with her while she waits for the flight, too bad we could not sit and have a coffee.

Yes, that is easy for me to do and my cousin is coming in from Hamiota, so easy to pick her up one too.  
 
Just thinking of people from other area's of Westman, may just go to the airport, wait for their flight and there is nothing there to sit at and have a little something.  
 
I just think it is poor planning, especially with the departure and arrival times being what they are. I know they could always change those times, but with the extensive renovations, I wonder if that was even considered?  
 
I realize Brandon is not "the hub" and there is not planes flying in and out all day, but anyway something little in there would be nice, but then again tomorrow will be my one and only time going up there, so really no big deal to me, just curious, as I thought she could come earlier and we could sit and visit around a nice little table with a snack and drink.

Yeah I thought that was in the plans too. But maybe not enough business right now to make it worthwhile for anyone to set up at the airport? A business needs to make money to survive.

So this is a great opportunity for a business. Somebody needs to just have a good cash flow and could be all over it. If the city would not assist with tables the business could afford it. Cost of tables similar to the mall can be had for 1300 each probably need 4. Then a counter and display case can have a nice one built for 6000. Then comerical coffee pot need 2 of them so you can offer different coffees. Than maybe a machine to make ice cap type option probably get for around 5000. Business licence tAx and rent cause you will not get space for free. Then supplies you will need to hire at least 2 more people to work there. For snacks you maybe able to get away with some fruit cookies bags of chips etc. Won't be able to charge to much because competition is vending machine. The 1 flight a day lands at 1230 and leaves at 120 means open at 11 am close at 2 so 3 hours of business means 50 customers if lucky and then all the negativity you would get because of price service and choice. Again all it would take is a little cash flow to lose a lot of cash.

You nailed it. There is no way anyone could hope to make money in a place with that little traffic. Hopefully someday, but not now!  
 
Maybe a Hot Dog cart. Or a food truck. Something portable. But nothing that has to stay there 24/7.

Nice to see, talking to a lady whose daughter-in-law was on the flight coming in that the plane was full. Last night when I went to book a flight for today to check the times, there was only one seat left for today. Hope that keeps up.

The midday flights are pretty popular. They tried a second flight earlier in the morning but that wasn't as busy.
