Sounds like there's a great story here. For this kind of thing it's recommended fitting a post into the classifieds under the "community" section in stead since the forums aren't really setup for single posts that request a contact so much as they are for back and forth discussions with public feedback, etc. An example of where this might be a discussion in stead is if you perhaps asked other posters to share their feedback on how you might locate this person.
