No power south end, does anyone know why

According to their website, it looks like there's a swath running from the south end up through the middle of town with no power, 400+ customers affected.

Actually, I would say suggesting to call hydro is constructive. Why would people on ebrandon know any more than hydro would? Call them first, then ask here if you don't get an answer from them. It's always better to not get an answer from people you trust than people you don't. Of course, if the OP did call hydro first, they didn't say so.

Hydro is usually flooded with calls when there is a power outage, so why not see if anyone else has reached them and has an answer.  
(Not everyone on ebrandon is untrustworthy.

there will be many times where the Hydro call centre has no information, that is until a crew goes out to investigate. Especially if the power just went out and minutes later the flash flood of calls come in. And many times no ETA of the return of can't be given. It will all very on what caused it, where it is, underground or pole, parts needed to repair, etc..  
 
Same as when Westman Cable services went out the other day. People and businesses need to have contingencies in place for when things like this happen. Sorry sometimes these things fail for a wide variety of reasons, just like any other technology.
