im looking for a place to rent to hold a 60th bday party. I tried north end community centre cuz its right by my house but i havent heard back from them in 2 weeks. Was gonna rent convention room at trails west inn but thats $200 just for the room. Abit too pricey for my budget? Anyone know anywhere else thats nice, and easy to book and not so expensive? I wanna book it ASAP FOR OCT 7th/8th weekend.

I would try a few more community centers.

Hospitality rooms at hotels such as Vic Inn, Royal Oak (?now Clarion), Colonial Inn are a few I have been in.

Discovery Center has a nice room to rent as well.

We just did the hospitality room at clarion, would not be in budget as it was $350.

They have a nice room for rent and I htink the price is reasonable. They are on Park Ave E.

Weather might still ok in Oct for an outdoor party. Is this person in a personal care home that has a meeting room? No other family members able to help out financially on this onetime occasion?

I'm not sure of the cost, but I've been to events there and it was nice. Just something to consider. Also the west end community centre (around 23rd and north of Victoria) I believe is around $10/hr to rent. Good luck.

The Colonial Inn on Queens Avenue has a bright daylight room just off the lobby with tables and chairs and a small kitchenette for storage of food and such. Have been there for special birthdays, wedding/baby showers, etc. You could maybe call them for day rates. Nice for a small crowd.

The housing complex on the corner of Knowlton and Braecrest up on the hill has a multi purpose room you can rent out for relatively cheap that just got renovated so it's really nice in there.

The housing attached to Fairview has a great room there for rent. Been to a couple of events there. No idea of cost though. Not sure of the name.
