The lady is 79, perhaps she has some dementia? Quite possible at that age.
And yes, the city is responsible for what happens ON their buses, wth don't you people think they are not? The city is responsible for the driver's mistakes while driving the bus. Why do people think not? " |

I feel horrible for her. She got hurt, possibly partially due to her age, and not being able to hold on. You say the drivers mistakes, what mistakes?
Avoiding an accident? He should have just rammed the other vehicle? Maybe speed up - make the carnage really good!
When she did fall, he checked on her, and she said she was fine. Short of kidnapping her - or forcibly restraining her, both illegal, he did what he could. And, just in case, he gave her information on who she could contact if she needed help as a result of the incident.
I really do not see a mistake that he made.
I hope she gets better soon, like most people, I do not want people to suffer. But I really do not see any mistake the driver made - and that is based on HER account of what happened.
