My daughter is in her friend's quinceanera and our family has been invited to attend as well. My daughter has a fancy dress to wear, bought by her friend's family for her, and is doing the traditional dances with her friend. My question is...what does one wear to a quinceanera? Would attire similar to a wedding be appropriate? And I've heard it's customary to give the girl money, but what is an appropriate amount? Should we purchase a gift for her as well? I just want to make sure we are respecting their traditions. Thanks for any useful advise!
