What''s everyone''s thoughts, feelings and opinions on "the best" children''s winter wear?! I can''t be the only one curious about what is the warmest/whats not worth the hype haha. I''m currently trying to decided on whether or not a Columbia Bugaboo 3 In 1 Insulated Jacket is worth it or not for a 5 year old as the reviews I've read are very mixed. Looking forward to hearing all opinions.

Got them at sports check for a reasonable price and got a little bigger so there is grow room. We used to get the 3-1 fromChildren’s place but the kids decided this year that they wanted to NOT look like everybody else and get something different. We always found the 3-1 heavier weight and we almost never benefited from the liner zipping out. By the time it was warm enough to do that the kids were sick of wearing their winter coats. We went with solid colours that were a little darker to hide dirt and anything that might stain them. I’m hoping to get two years out of them. So fingers crossed!!

Usually went with baby gap down filled, which went up to 5t, and I was impressed with it. This year I opted to buy my son a Columbia titanium empowder omni beat which is a lot thinner, but should be just as warm. Got it online from sport check, was regular $200, got it for $100.

I am a big believer in good quality (name brand) winter jackets. Kids are probably outside playing at daycare and recess more than we are out. They get distracted and might not realize they are cold. I try to buy them big enough to last for 2 years, then resell them.  
 
Also can look for a used jacket on ebrandon etc.

We’ve used the north face jackets on our daughter since she was 3 and love them so far! Shes in kindergarten this year and outside for recess and remains warm and dry.  
We usually buy online from sportschek and have never had issues super fast shipping too!
