When are people going to learn. Twenty one impaired drivers in three days?  
 
Maybe they need to be taken to an accident scene were a drunken driver or someone else due to a drunken driver has been killed - they obviously have not common sense. Something needs to jolt them to stop!

There is no reason at all for that right now.. First of all Operation Rednose is out in full force. While it does cost a donation, it can be whatever you have, and if you are really in a pinch they will get your butt home.  
 
With that being said, if you have enough money to go out and get loaded, you should also have enough money to throw 10 bucks aside for a cab.

And then they lose their job. Go on welfare, hit up the food banks, put extra burden on our social resources, probably go into depression and start drinking heavily, cost us way more than losing a vehicle.  
 
Do they not lose their license for a year anyway? Take their vehicle, what stops them from borrowing or buying another one?

Every one of those things you've listed are against the law.

One is under the criminal code and the other is traffic act. Pretty big difference.

This will always be a demon, and it will become more so once Mary Jane is legal, and I lost my license once, not because of drinking, but because of medical and I didn’t miss it, had no problem getting to work, had no problem fulfilling my duties, so that’s not even a threat IMO, but the sad fact is even if you get behind the wheel and cause death what is the penalty? I’m almost more afraid to let me parking meter lapse. The reason I say that is cause I know people who have gotten dui, and they just wait it out until the penalty works itself down, some for as long as 10 years. So where is the punishment? Take the car, I’ll take the bus, take my license and not pay the fines, and eventually get it back, so my question is what is out there punishing this?
