saw the wps commercial about medical rescue at work at an accident, then they show the responder walking to get back into the vehicle but being struck by a vehicle apparently going too fast by it. I am repulsed. the point to the commercial is to give attention to speeding by emergency vehicles, but I am left with the sad view of a paramedic being run over. I cannot believe that anyone would find this an effective ad against speeding. the next thing they will show is a huge suv careening across the skating oval at the forks, running over multitudes and crashing into the Assiniboine. poor taste has no bound.

I do think it is tragic and it is bit of shock and awe.  
But same token when driving 110km/h down the hyw and you see emergency personnal on side of the road, it should trigger that feeling and you slow down and pass safely.  
Clearly msg isn't getting out in a effective manor as 2 or 3 emergency personnal have been struck here in last month.

I remember when that commercial first came out and if I recall correctly, that person that gets hit was actually hit in a similar scenario. So, you may be repulsed by it, but it actually happened.

The thing is they shouldn't have to make a video in the first place, but people are to stupid and careless and dont care anymore so they need to take drastic measures. (Show you the real truth and what they see) maybe that way the idiots will get it. Ex. I was driving into town today roads are beyond slippery and people in the ditch, well a cop comes flying down the highway with his lights going. I pull over and the truck in front of me wouldn't pull over the officer had his sirens blasting at him and he wouldn't move for a solid few minutes. Finally he pulled over, now if he had his music to loud then that's not an excuse because it was dark enough you would see those lights believe me. And were only going about 75 so he held the officer up from an important scene probably a bad accident because he's a idiot. This is why they have to show you the drastic truth sad thing is people still dont give a shit.
