Any New Years fireworks this year?

I’ve lived in Brandon for 40 years and never remember there being fireworks on NYE …. So I’m going got assume no…. Not to mention it’s -40 AND a pandemic.

“There has never been New Year’s Eve fireworks in Brandon before, I don’t think there will be this year either. Especially since they’ve cancelled Canada Day fireworks the last two year due to the pandemic.”  
 
What was the point in being so rude? Maybe that person just moved here from a place that does do fireworks every New Years.  
 
And maybe due to the fact that it is -40 they could do them regardless of the pandemic because people would have to socially distance in their vehicles to stay warm.

Out in Souris we usually have our fireworks in the bowl in the summer, but we have now had two displays at the fairgrounds in mid December.
