Who's better at Shopping? Men or Women?

According to a new study from the University of Michigan, male and female shopping styles are actually in our genes.
Lead researcher Daniel Kruger says it's perfectly natural that men often can't tell the difference between two sets of bed sheets or that women can't tell if the shoe department is north or west from the escalator.
From an evolutionary perspective, it all goes back to the skills that women used for gathering plant foods and the skills that men used for hunting meat. Women needed to be able to distinguish between different species of plants - and men needed to be able to simply target an animal, kill it and bring it home. No dillydallying.
"We have evidence that the kind of skills, abilities and behaviors that are important for hunting and gathering in current foraging societies emerge predictably in our modern consumer environment," said Kruger. "The value is in understanding each other. It helps demystify behaviors. Guys have long been puzzled by why women shop the way they do."
