Why are people so much worse in winter while driving/parking...

Is it me or when it's winter time...everyone's driving and parking are 100x worse? I don't just mean people driver slower (WHICH is a pain in the @ss...They drive slow mainly because its Icy...and (they wont admit it) they are not comfortable with their driving abilities) For myself if i can see the pavement, I know my car, I drive 50. Period. But others the are WAY behind me doing 30? Kinda sad.
Also..what's with everyone's parking in parking lots???? The other day I went to superstore and this person left a HUGE gap between the other car....Like common people...learn to drive or at least PARK proper!!!! (Let's see how many people complain...
