Snow Blower Blues
11/24/2010 at 7:41 PM
I have a lot of snow and only one shovel. My snowblower simply refuses to start. I thought perhaps if I plug it in, it would start automatically. I thought that by adjusting the choke and pressing the primer that it would start and continue to run. I put in new gas, and the oil indicator still shows as acceptable. I checked the spark plug, and there's no obvious sign of corrosion. A neighbour even offered some gas line antifreeze which I added modestly. Still the only snow blowing is that done by the wind. It is a Tecumseh engine, reputedly difficult at times to start. I need help and I cannot even load this heavy machine into my truck to take to a service depot. I had this machine work only twice, and I am ready to throw in the wrench.
